New Wave Surfboards...

New Wave is a New Zealand company commited to excellence, producing quality to all areas of surfboard design.
The company was formed in 1980 and has shaped its way through to the future. Our craftmanship coupled with a love of surfing and desire to create that magic board is second to f*&%en none!
Through years of dedication to nurturing young and exciting talent, New Wave has been producing the very highest quality boards for our riders nationally and internationally.

Shape & Design

Ralph Blake has been with New Wave since its establishment and his reputation as one of New Zealand's best shapers is indisputeable. His dedication to quality and innovation has seen him producing boards for multiple NZ champions for over 25 years.

Jason Primrose (also known as 'JP') is New Waves new blood and one of New Zealand's Best shapers. Originally based in Taranaki, Jason was head-hunted by New Wave after reports of 'magic boards, shaped by a real top bloke'.

TIME HAS BUT ONE STANDARD... QUALITY!

Technology

New Wave acquired the CET shaping machine in 2003. This computer based technology has allowed Ralph to develop and refine the shapes and in turn give each surfer the specific board suited to their style and skill.

Our in house glassing assures that you recieve the best glass jobs for your needs. Custom glassing available from the latest types of fibreglass cloth.

We also use EPS with Epoxy resins for a lighter stronger surfboard. Usually last twice as long as as a standard foam surfboard.
